Lotus E22 Render Released

Lotus fans were disappointed when their team stated that they would not be attending the first pre-season test in Jerez and consequently delaying the launch of their 2014 challenger. The team who were the first to unveil their 2013 car were looking to spend more time developing the package at Enstone. However, in conjunction with the corporate launch season, Lotus have released three renderings of their new car and it has certainly sparked some discussion.

The images released are merely a concept, but the Lotus E22's odd design is certainly sparking debate

2013 Team Reviews: Williams

2013 has undoubtedly been a year of grim viewing for Williams fans. The prestigious team have suffered one of the worst seasons in their history - a campaign of a similar ilk to 2011. After a promising winter, the team suffered a fundamental design flaw in their chassis which could not be resolved in the form of upgrades, meaning that masking the problem was the only option. Valtteri Bottas' breakthrough result in the US Grand Prix spared the team the blushes of only scoring one solitary point. 2013 was quite frankly a write off for an unfortunate Williams team.

Maldonado Heading To Lotus

The chips are beginning to fall in the driver market as Lotus have finally confirmed that Pastor Maldonado will partner returnee Romain Grosjean in 2014. The announcement concerning Kimi Raikkonen's replacement at Enstone has been eagerly anticipated ever since the Finn declared his departure back in October. However, the news of Maldonado's arrival has angered many fans as the pay driver debate rumbles on. Nico Hulkenberg has undoubtedly been beaten to the seat by Maldonado's pocket, yet the Venezuelan's appointment is not as dire a forecast for the future as some may perceive.

Mid-Season Review: Pastor Maldonado

Next in this series of posts is the 28 year-old Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado. Since making his debut in the sport in 2011, Maldonado has developed into a consistent performer and while his early season issues were not a reflection of this, his fortunes have certainly taken a favorable turn in recent races. Williams may be a team suffering from an insufficient and ineffective development programme in 2013, but both Pastor and Valtteri are certainly performing admirably. Here's the review of Pastor's season so far.

Canadian Grand Prix: Weekend Preview

The Circuit De Gilles Villeneuve is a favorite among many sectors of the Formula One paddock. It has played host to many classic races down the years; Most notably, Jenson Button's unlikely triumph in 2011, after the Brit traveled through the pits six times during the race. Coincidentally, it was the longest race in the history of the sport, following a lengthy red flag period during a characteristically wet day in Montreal. Rain is forecast for Friday and Saturday, so a few surprises may be on the cards.

Williams Considering Exhaust Switch

After an exciting winter for Williams, the FW35 has failed to deliver on its promises. The team have slipped behind the likes of Force India, Sauber and even Toro Rosso and now, Williams are supposedly considering a switch back to their 2012 specification exhaust, in an attempt to correct the issues which have plagued the new car's performance.
