Claire Williams Wins Promotion

After becoming a familiar face in the paddock over the past few years, Claire Williams, daughter of Sir Frank, has received a well earned promotion to the position of deputy Team Principal within the Williams team. This new role will mean that Claire is responsible for the day to day management of the team.

Claire Williams has held many roles within the team over the past few years, including; press officer, head of communications and most recently, head of investor relations. Her new role appears to be a position which will stabilize the team following the departure of integral figure Toto Wolff.
An excited Claire enthused, "I'm truly honoured to be taking on the role of deputy team principal and look forward to working alongside Frank to help run the team this season and beyond. I have grown up in the sport and have learnt the ropes from one of Formula One's legendary Team Principals and as a result I feel well equipped for this new challenge. I understand the commitment that every person within the team gives each day to see our car out on the track and I am determined to see us back at the top."
Sir Frank Williams will no doubt be ecstatic in regards to keeping his team in the family. Claire certainly has a bright future within Williams and as Monisha Kaltenborn has demonstrated, women do have the ability to manage a Formula One team very efficiently. Sir Frank stated, "With Claire being appointed Deputy Team Principal, I know the future of Williams is in extremely safe hands. This appointment also had Ginny's blessing who I know would have been incredibly proud to have seen Claire taking on this position by my side.''
