After several weeks of waiting, Marussia have finally announced that Max Chilton has retained his seat alongside Jules Bianchi for the up-coming campaign, as the team look for driver continuity heading into such a revolutionary year. Chilton became the only driver in history to finish every race of his rookie season in 2013 and will hope to repeat this consistency in 2014.

2013 Team Reviews: Marussia
The second of the 2013 Team Reviews sees Marussia placed under the microscope. Marussia's 2013 season was a story of mission accomplished, as they managed to claim the lucrative P10 in the constructors championship which had evaded them since their formation in 2010. Jules Bianchi sparkled throughout the season, earning the status of being one of Formula One's hottest properties. Meanwhile, Max Chilton became the first rookie in history to finish every race his début season. However, it was not a perfect season for Banbury squad...

Driver Continuity Key At Marussia
Despite the possibility of becoming the first rookie in Formula One history to finish every race in his debut season, Max Chilton's chance of retaining his Marussia seat for another season is somewhat of a mystery. The team have already re-signed Jules Bianchi, following is impressive consistency and high level of performance this season and the delay in discovering Max Chilton's future has initiated speculation. However, Marussia sporting director Graeme Lowdon says there is a "strong argument" to retain Max Chilton for next season, as the team seemingly want continuity of drivers in what is a transition year for the sport.

Mid-Season Review: Max Chilton
Well, Formula One 2013 has been exhilarating from the very start, but now we enter the dreaded Summer Shutdown where the on-track action takes somewhat of a sabbatical while everyone catches their breath. As of today, there are 22 days until Friday Practice in Belgium and coincidentally 22 drivers currently competing at the pinnacle of motorsport. Instead of posting the all too common team by team analysis, I have decided to assess each and every driver, with a mid-season report posted on a daily basis. It is certainly going to be a hectic month and hopefully full of entertaining content. First up, its Max Chilton under the spotlight.

Marussia Confirm Ferrari Deal
While the majority of teams have previously confirmed their 2014 engine suppliers, Marussia have become the latest to declare their partners. The 1.6 litre V6 turbocharged engines will be supplied to the team by Ferrari, as Marussia finally end their contract with Cosworth after they declared that they will not build 2014 engines.
Marussia will receive the entire powertrain from Ferrari in years to come, yet they have not announced the official duration of the contract. The partnership should benefit the team, as the heritage and reliability of Ferrari as a supplier will always be an advantage. In tough economic times, Ferrari are an extremely safe option.

British Grand Prix: Weekend Preview
Formula One returns to the UK this weekend, in an event which always captivates fans across the world. Being my home race, it is always a special event and one which British fans value very highly. Silverstone first hosted a Grand Prix in 1948 and the 3.6 mile circuit is known for its high speed nature. In 2012, Mark Webber snatched victory away from Fernando Alonso with just four laps to go, pulling off a spectacular overtake at Brooklands. The Aussie will be hoping to reinvigorate his championship fight this weekend.

Concorde Complications For Marussia
Marussia Sporting Director, Graeme Lowdon, has remained tight-lipped regarding the team's failure to sign the Concorde Agreement, despite the issue possibly costing the team millions. For a low budget team such as Marussia, they are beginning to enter dangerous territory, as Bernie Ecclestone continues to push them towards a deal.
